Over the last 20 years Kamara digital photographic studio has built up a relationship with numerous Societies and Businesses, resulting in being commissioned for their function or charity events photography. This relationship has developed through the quality of our service, and the trusted reliability for production of the highest quality photographic prints, reflecting an occasion that will only happen once in a persons’ lifetime.

Here at Kamara the team understands that at this particular time of the year, the thought of organising your function might just be materialising. Whether we have had the privilege of photographing your function previously, or you may have booked us already, (thank you), or you may be a new client this year, please let us refresh your knowledge or explain the current procedures.

As one of the leading digital photographic studios in the county, we continue to invest heavily into the digital era, allowing us to provide an unrivalled service. The Kamara team has developed an option to suit your needs and it is designed to cater for any number of people attending your function.

Over the past few years digital photography has advanced in many ways, one of these is the ability to print the images on the night at the location. Kamara was one of the first studios to offer this service, but after the first season of using this procedure, we became and still are disappointed with the quality of the finished photographs. We felt that with more time and care by processing the images at the studio in a controlled environment with superior printers, the resulting photograph is a far superior quality end product, with the added advantage of the finished photograph costing the same. With experience we found clients did not want to carry photographs around all night, because of the risk of them getting either lost or damaged.

With all the above disadvantages, the system that best suits all concerned, in our opinion, is as follows:-

On the night the photographer will take, as a minimum, 2 images of each pose, but for larger groups the photographer will take more. All these images will be uploaded onto our website (www.kamaraphoto.com) within 7 working days, thereby reducing the pressure situation of choosing on the night. This has major advantages to both the client and their families, especially if the families are spread around the world. When viewing their images on their computer screen, the client will have the facility of choosing from the variety of the sizes available.

Back in the studio, post production time affords us the opportunity to manipulate the images, for example, if someone has their eyes closed in one image, we have the digital capability to transpose a set of eyes from a better image and so on. This is impossible to achieve on the night owing to the limited time available to produce the prints. One other advantage is that the clients do not need to spend all night queuing, viewing and deciding on their choice of photographs. Therefore affording them more time to party and enjoy themselves.

The Kamara team can provide a studio environment that includes a choice of backdrops for the photographs . If there is a particular theme to the function, a background can be hired, or alternatively, your committee may produce a suitable set in keeping with the theme. You may wish to discuss a more appropriate studio environment prior to the engagement.

Please be advised that there is a booking fee of £150 plus VAT (£176.25), payable in advance of the function. The booking fee will be refundable when £150 plus VAT (£176.25), worth of orders has been placed via our website.
